What goes around comes around!
Children of St. Joseph Parish in Newport
voted THP as the Recipient of their year of sacrificial giving and good deeds.
Each Sunday from September to Man, children of the parish faithfully brought
their spare change in a specially designed envelope, given to the by CCD
Director Sr. Irene Nerney, with space to write their kind actions from the
week. By the end of the collection, the students had raised a total of
$1,595.15! The children asked that $300 of this be used to purchase sports equipment
for students at LCS. Thank you children of St. Joseph’s!
In Loving Memory
Stephen and Brenda Keppel of Easton
PA are the founders of the newly instituted
James F. Keppel scholarship for the Louverture
Cleary School.
The Scholarship is given in honor of their son James (1979-2003) to assist
students with financing university education upon graduation from Louverture
Cleary. This year, Isaac Martinau (class of 2003) will receive tuition for his second year of
medical school at the UNDH – the public university
of Haiti. On behalf of the entire
THP community, we wish to thank the Keppel family for their Generosity in
choosing to honor their son James through this very special scholarship.
