Highlights March 2010

We Celebrate Parishes

We receive donations across the U.S. from almost 50 parishes every year.  This year, we have received gifts from more than 14 parishes already! We especially want to recognize All Saints and Madeleine (Portland OR), St. Bernard's (North Kingstown RI), St. Joseph’s (Newport RI) St. Luke (Shoreline WA) as well as Queen of All Saints and St. John Berchmans (Chicago IL) for quickly & generously responding with second collections and parish fundraisers.

We Celebrate Schools

We would like to thank Central Catholic HS (Portland OR), Boylan High (Rockford IL), and especially our sister school Bishop Ireton HS (Arlington VA), which raised over $25,000 just since the earthquake! We'd also like to give special mention to St. Ann School (VA), St. Charles Borromeo and St. Mary Schools (IL), St. John School (MI), The Prout School (RI), St. Louis Catholic School (TN), and all the schools in Mississippi who gathered backpacks and raised over $3,000.

We Celebrate Organizations

We celebrate 17 organizations that are totally new to THP this year!  We welcome our new friends and are excited to grow deeper with them in dedication to service.  We especially want to recognize Stein Nielsen, a special supporter in Portland, OR who quickly transformed his birthday party into a THP fundraiser upon hearing about the earthquake, raising over $3,300!  What an inspirational new way to celebrate a birthday and give to THP!
