Safe to Dance

We have added both modern/jazz and classical dance to the extracurricular activities at Louverture Cleary.  Student interest has been very strong.  It is great to see the happy faces—some very serious as well—at the classes.

One of the great benefits each year of having a new set of Volunteers is they bring opportunities for the students to develop new hobbies and interests.  Given our intense focus on order, discipline, structure and institution building in our students’ formation, it is great to have a bit of random spontaneity, too!  Of course, grace is a great attribute, so this fun will still benefit our students well into the future.

In their own words, here is what the Volunteers had to say about the start-up of the extracurricular activities on campus:

We, the Volunteer group, are thrilled to have this opportunity to give back what we have been given. Jess’ dance club, Tara’s Spanish club, Ed’s basketball team and all of our classes and extracurricular activities would not be possible without years of education and support from our families, teachers and coaches. But in order to make the most of our gifts, we need your help.  LCS is dependent on the financial support of its community. Please consider making a gift to support ALL of our efforts at LCS.
