The Louverture Cleary Schools Network: An upstream solution to poverty in Haiti
It's time to put education first in haiti.
After three decades of incredible results and hundreds of successful alumni, The Haitian Project (THP) is expanding the impact of its Louverture Cleary School (LCS) by building a national network of schools across Haiti.
The Louverture Cleary Schools Network will be a system of ten tuition-free, Catholic, co-educational secondary boarding schools—one in each diocese of Haiti—providing 3,600 students with a quality education steeped in service and 1,200 alumni with scholarships to Haitian universities each year.
While The LCS Network will be a huge step forward for Haiti, THP envisions it not as an end unto itself, but as an opportunity to inspire a shift in the focus of philanthropy towards education in Haiti and around the world.
