Inspiring Lasting Change in Haiti!

Clovesky’s journey is a powerful example of what LCS students can achieve

Inspiring Lasting Change in Haiti!

LCS Alumni Spotlight: Clovesky P. (LCS ‘17)

By Djim G., (LCS ‘14) LCS Economics Department Head

As a student, Clovesky asked big questions about power, governance, and the future of his country. In debate club, he stood out for his ability to discuss human rights and governance. After graduation, he set a goal:  help Haiti move forward through civic action and responsible leadership.

Supported by a scholarship through the school’s Dulcich Center for Career Advancement (DCCA), Clovesky studied Political Science and International Relations at Université Quisqueya, where he received further formation governance, civic participation, and the power of youth to transform Haiti.

Clovesky then took a job at an accounting firm and a position as Secretary General of the Haïtian Youth Government (a structure that allows young people to learn through government simulation.) He coordinates national youth initiatives, builds partnerships with embassies and international agencies, and represents Haitian youth at the highest levels. “It’s challenging,” he says, “but for now, it’s where I can help ensure that young voices are truly heard. I remain convinced that lasting change requires the direct participation of young people in public decision making.

Clovesky is the founder and CEO of La Ruche Managing Lab, a communication and management agency, and Director of La Ruche Journal. Through La Ruche, he promotes critical thinking and professional growth among young Haitians. One of his most promising projects, Grassroots, officially launched this November. It aims to strengthen and professionalize emerging community organizations across the country.

In a time when Haiti faces deep uncertainty, his example shines as a quiet reminder that rebuilding the nation begins with individuals who refuse to give up.  We wish him all the best in his endeavors.
